Speaker 1:

Welcome to the Cash Confident Podcast. If you're a woman ready to take charge of your finances and create a life of abundance and exponential wealth, you've found the right place. I'm Brie Sedano, your host, known to my clients as the Queen Maker. Get ready to dive into a world of money management, mindset and manifestation. Oh, hello, hello. We are here for the Cash Confident Podcast, and today we're working on why shit goes awry when you start to manifest, like why weird things happen when you start to uplevel. So that's what we're going to talk about today.

Speaker 1:

So here's something that I noticed so a lot of times when I'm working with clients, they're coming to see me because they essentially want something way better. They want their lives to feel better. That's like, spiritually, emotionally, financially, energetically. They want all of the good stuff, and so I'm going to just take you into a metaphor to explain why this happens, because I think having the visual really, really helps. So just imagine your inner life as a house, right, and so you have all of these rooms and you have a lifetime worth of stuff, right? Like you have things that somebody gave you, that you inherited from your parents so that you took from them. You have things that your friends left when they came by. You have just a house worth of stuff. So when you decide I want this life to be better, I want my house to be better, let's just say you're going to take your living room from, let's say, shabby chic to art deco, that's not to say one's the upgrade. This isn't a commentary on style. Let's just say your shabby chic is old. It's just not who you are anymore. You planned that out when you were 31 and now you're just coming up on 40 and you're just wanting something different. What are you going to do? You can order the Art Deco stuff, right? That's when we start manifesting. We're like I want Art Deco, I want these other things. You can start calling those things into your life. You can start going about your life looking for Art Deco. You can go online and start ordering the Art Deco.

Speaker 1:

But to make room for it, you've got to get rid of what's already in your living room. And this is why, in a different episode, we'll talk about an energetic law vacuum where people will talk about forgiveness or decluttering, and that's actually the next episode that I'm about to record. So I think it will happen the week after this podcast airs. But we create a vacuum. It makes the space for new things. So when we're manifesting, let's just say we start wanting all this new stuff we want to upgrade. That means we've got to get wanting all this new stuff we want to upgrade. That means we got to get rid of this old stuff. We've got to give it away where it can be given away. We've got to return the things that we've taken on or borrowed and some stuff we just have to let go of. And so this is why sometimes, when we start bringing in new upgrades, shit goes real weird.

Speaker 1:

Because now, in this metaphor it's real simple that you're going to take out your old couch and chances are there's going to be dust bunnies underneath the old couch, so you're going to have the physical letting go of something, and sometimes that can be super disorienting. Sometimes people want a new job and it means that they get fired from their old job and that might happen before they're all the way ready and that may be really upsetting. They're trying to bring in more abundance and here they are losing their source of income, and when you are looking at this and you don't have the big context for how the universe works, it can look like you're going backwards, even though you're really just clearing out the space and you've. Essentially, there's the letting go part, so that's going to be taking up that furniture out of this living room and we're going to take it out, we're going to let it go. But then sometimes other stuff just comes up right, like the dust bunnies underneath the couch, or you go to move a cabinet and now you have all of these pictures and all of this stuff that's stuffed inside of the cabinet that now needs to be addressed. So, in the metaphor of this house, sometimes we have buried emotions, or we have old stories that are still running in the background, or we have old, energetic programs that don't fit with this new thing that we want. Right, they're the shabby chic version of emotions, of stories, of programs, of whatever.

Speaker 1:

And when we want to bring in the art deco, we have to essentially let go of these things, and that can actually feel really, really hard. It can actually feel like I've had clients even sometimes describe it as like being punished, like why I'm just trying to make this upgrade, I'm trying to do better, why am I being punished? And you're not being punished, it's just there's all this old stuff that's happening in your internal house and as you're dislodging, as you're moving, as you're making room for this upgrade, that stuff, it just comes to the surface, right. So it's like, oh, I want to move this piece of furniture out, but it's full of all of this old stuff. If you were literally moving that out, you would take this stuff out of there. You'd essentially probably go through it a little bit and then let it go, and that's the same sort of thing that happens when we are creating our new realities, and so I'm going to just give a couple examples.

Speaker 1:

So sometimes, as this stuff, as stuff comes up as we're making these upgrades, sometimes there's lessons or skills that we actually need to learn to be able to have the thing that we're wanting right. Sometimes life sees, oh hey, you want this art deco thing, but you actually don't have the skills to shine the brass. So we're going to give you some brass and a rag and the shining liquid and you have to learn how to shine that. That could be again we're in metaphor here but it might be something like oh, you want to grow your audience, all right, and you're actually afraid of being seen. Great, we're going to give you some opportunities to be seen. And again, a lot of times this is going to push you beyond your edge. It's going to make you feel uncomfortable and it may feel like something bad is happening. And it may even look like something good is happening and feel like something bad is happening. And that's okay, it's just part of the experience. It doesn't mean anything. So lessons are skills. So that's sometimes one reason why weird shit happens when you're manifesting Sometimes.

Speaker 1:

Also, the secondary thing is sometimes the stuff comes up to be released or transmuted right. Sometimes we have these old energies. We have these old energies, we have these old emotions, we have these old stories and we can't have the new upgrades while we're still full of all these old energy patterns or hurt feelings or just like whatever. So when we're going for the upgrade, the cleaner you are energetically, the easier upgrades are. So if you're somebody who's never done any sort of emotional clearing work, chances are if you go for a big upgrade, you're going to have a bit of.

Speaker 1:

It's not like a rough year. The timeframe is irrelevant. I said a year, but it might be way faster. Imagine in the metaphor of the house you want an upgrade, but your house isn't necessarily shabby chic. It's more like real cluttered. You have stuff in there from all sorts of times and you don't have an exact style and it's just a lot of stuff. That upgrade is going to be a little harder because there's more cleanup work to do. So inside of the work that I do with my clients, a lot of the work that we do is cleanup work because that it highly, drastically, profoundly, impacts the speed at which you can manifest. The more energetically clean you are, the more clear you are, the faster stuff comes to be.

Speaker 1:

Now, if you want an upgrade but you have still holding on to your stories from second and third grade, that's okay, but those things are going to come to the surface to get cleared out, and so what's interesting is so I'll see this happen with a lot of my clients. So sometimes they'll go for an upgrade and then somebody will come out of the woodwork. Maybe it might not even be like somebody weird, it might just be like some stuff starts getting weird with their ex-husband, or stuff starts getting really weird and intense with their parents, or stuff starts coming up like their best friend does something. Yeah, because they're poking at these feelings that you need to essentially let go of. So sometimes you'll end up emotionally I don't really love the word triggered but it will be like all your old stuff will come up. So then, when I was talking about earlier the dust bunnies, this is what I'm talking about and this is something that, if what you're carrying within you does not match the reality that you're trying to create, you got to clear it out, you got to shift it, you got to transmute it, you got to change it, you got to tidy it up. And so as that stuff comes to the surface, that can feel hard. I want to just plainly say that that can feel really hard.

Speaker 1:

I'll tell you what I had a client once do a big she was, she needed. She came to see me because her money was. She was making a ton of money, but her money was super, super tight. And I look at her numbers and I'm like you are way overpaying your staff, like she was paying her staff to the point that her business could not survive. I was like this business cannot support the level of payroll that you have happening. It just cannot. You're going into debt. Your cash flow is running backwards with these expenses, and so as that started to shift, so much came to the surface so much, and she had a really hard few months of essentially having to let some people go, having to bring in new staff, having people really mad at her, and all of this was the reason that she wasn't getting the upgrade.

Speaker 1:

She didn't have boundaries, she couldn't set things, she was perpetually putting herself in a state of overgiving and taking care of everybody first, but then her next level did not include that. Her next level didn't include no boundaries, didn't include overgiving, didn't include self-sacrifice for the benefit of other people who are essentially not even going to appreciate it. It didn't include any of that. So her current reality was stuffed full of those kinds of patterns, behaviors, and so when she went for the upgrade, it was a little rough. It was a little rough because she had to face all of that and she had to pull it back. She had to pull all that power back and that meant losing some team members and it was just a hard time.

Speaker 1:

So that's what we're talking about Moving, transmuting, releasing, shifting, changing right, and so the universe, life, is going to drum up these situations for you to be able to see the things that are going on for you on the internal world that you don't want to keep manifesting in the external world. So that's the second thing. The third thing is, when you're upgrading, there are major pieces of your life that are moving, and when we're moving house, it can feel real big and real chaotic and real exhausting. Same thing If you were taking all of the furniture out of your living room to replace it with new furniture moving day. There's going to be a lot of heavy lifting, there just is. There's going to be a lot of heavy lifting and it's going to feel like chaos. It's going to feel real weird and for a moment your living room is going to be empty.

Speaker 1:

In the metaphor that I'm giving to you, I'm imagining the new furniture being right outside. We're going to take out the old furniture, we're going to bring in the new furniture, but when we're playing the game of life, sometimes that living room is empty and we don't know how or when or where that new furniture is coming from, and that can feel really bad. It can feel really bad, and so sometimes this will happen People will hire me. They'll be like moving the stuff out. Obviously, seeing them, I think they're doing great. They'll be like but my living room is empty and I'm like, yeah, I know it is, it's everything's coming and they'll be like, but how do you know? And I'm like I know and they'll be like, but how do you know? Like, I've seen thousands of people go through these sort of transitions so I'm like, yeah, it's coming, it's coming. Calm down, pour yourself a cup of tea and just be grateful that it's on its way. But when your living room is empty it can feel real bad and real weird. And that's okay, that's okay.

Speaker 1:

And then the last thing is that sometimes we just have to let go of stuff. Sometimes there's stuff that we just have to let go of and in real life that may be relationships, it may be patterns, it may be the way that we interact with ourselves or other people, or it may be physical items, like sometimes literally decluttering your house can move prosperity in. But a lot of times there's this let and go process and for some of us that like to hold to things, that like to cling to things, that can be hard. So I just want to point this stuff really out and I want to give a little context to it, because sometimes people come see me and they're like I started doing prosperity work and I started manifesting and then everything got wonky and I stopped because I was terrified and it's okay. It's okay, you can always come back to it.

Speaker 1:

But I just want you to understand that what we're doing is we're upgrading. We're upgrading our internal house and that means that, just as if you were upgrading your actual living space, it's going to be weird for a minute, and that doesn't mean you're doing anything wrong. It doesn't mean that it's not working. It doesn't mean that it's not working. It doesn't mean anything like that. It's just part of the process. And I think for me, when I understand this, I'm able to meet the weird things that happen. It's not even acceptance, it's just like, oh, this is coming to the surface. All right, let me make room for my upgrade, let me clear this out. Let me let this go, let me do whatever. And so then, when you can save yourself the story of it being wrong or bad, or you're doing something wrong, or you're not sure what it means, or you're dilly-dallying or whatever, when you can save yourself that entire mental, when you can not be in that whole mental space and you're just like, oh, I asked for an upgrade and now some piece of my life is crumbling, or it seems like it's crumbling. Wow, it's making way for the new thing.

Speaker 1:

And I can be gentle with myself Because, listen, we're a spiritual being who's working in the spiritual plane and in the energetic realm, and we're also a squishy little human animal in this meat suit and a lot of times those two aspects of ourselves have vastly different feelings about something. Sometimes our spirit is hell, yeah, get rid of the shabby chic. And your little human animal's like oh no, everything's falling apart Tragedy, tragedy, right. And so when you can see it like that, you can also be really gentle with yourself. You can oh, everything's falling apart, tragedy, tragedy, right. And so when you can see it like that, you can also be really gentle with yourself. You can also care for yourself. You can just take care of yourself as you go through these things, knowing that there's nothing wrong, and so you can give yourself reassurance and comfort and take care of your little human self while you're calling in this big upgrade.

Speaker 1:

Because those transitions are legitimately difficult for lots of us, and the more often you do this and the cleaner and more energetically clear you are, the easier it is. It's like, let's just say, you decluttered everything and you have no extra garbage and then you want a new piece of furniture All right, it's going to be easier than if you haven't switched out your couch in a bazillion years and there's Cheetos from when your kids were four years old underneath it. So I just wanted to explain this to you, because I think this is one of the things where people get off track and they feel like they're doing something wrong. And it's just not that. It's just when you're going for the up level, your life is going to get shaken up the same exact way that it would if you were up leveling your physical. There's extra work to do, there's extra examining to do, there's extra getting rid of to do, there's extra heavy lifting on the emotional and energetic realms and for a minute, it's going to feel like it's falling apart, and I think it's just worth it to say that very, very plainly to you all. So that way, as you're going for the upgrades, when you find all these dust bunnies in your life, or you find all these old hurt feelings or old hard feelings or whatever they are, you're going for better income and you lose a job, or you're going for this and something happens. You can just see it for what it is, not necessarily make it wrong for what it is, not necessarily make it wrong. Tend to the feelings of your human, who may have legit grieving or things like that, and then you can carry on. But that way you're not getting disoriented, you're not losing your way, thinking that you're going in the wrong direction, because shit gets weird when you're manifesting. You know what I mean.
